EXTRA PERSON: A few of our large suites contain an extra twin-size bed in the sitting room. These suites can therefore accommodate up to 3 guests. There is an additional charge of $15 for the third guest. All of our other rooms can accommodate no more than 2 guests.

BREAKFAST: All rates include a complimentary Continental Breakfast. Breakfast includes home-baked pastries, fresh-ground coffee and fresh fruit.

DEPOSITS: Guaranteed reservations require a deposit of one night's lodging. The deposit is credited against the final night of the reservation dates. The deposit is refunded only if the reservation is cancelled at least three weeks prior to the day it was to begin, or we are able to refill the room.

FROMMER'S GUIDE TO NEW YORK STATE (by John Foreman, published by Prentice-Hall): "Erected in 1877, it has an intricate brown and yellow paint job that oozes period charm. Inside is a lobby loaded with Victorian froufrou furniture, a stenciled ceiling, rococco revival sofas and fringed draperies. A skylit staircase leads to 34 perfectly wonderful rooms, each different, all decorated with antique rugs and furniture, pictures on silk cords, curtains on swags...All have high ceilings and private bathrooms...An upstairs lounge packed with potted plants and appealing Victorian clutter leads to a wicker-filled porch beyond whose blosson-laden flower boxes lies the panorama of Saratoga's famous Broadway. What a place for breakfast...I think this hotel is hands down the best in town. The Adelphi, though not the costliest place in town, is the most atmospheric and my particular favorite".
